Settle up in fewer payments, and one tap when you pay
- Your Payments now sits at the top of each group, showing only what you owe and what you are owed. Tap I Paid once you have sent the money, or Mark Received when someone pays you, and the other person is notified.
- New in beta: Simplified settlements. Group admins can turn it on in group settings to settle up in the fewest payments, based on everyone's overall balance. A group of five that needed ten payments can settle in four. The catch is that you may pay someone you did not share an expense with.
- The Settlements page shows both ways side by side, Current and Simplified, so you can compare before switching.
- Recording a payment on the website now notifies the other person, the same as the app always has.
- Splitting evenly now adds up to the cent. Some even splits left a cent or two unassigned, so whoever paid got back slightly less than they spent. New and edited expenses get it right.
- Long names no longer get cut short in the list of payments.
Currency converter, and a thumbs-up for seen expenses
- Premium groups can tap any balance or payment amount to see it in another currency. Rates update daily, and the app remembers the currency you picked.
- Marking an expense as seen is now a thumbs-up instead of a heart, since it means "got it" rather than "love it".
Mark an expense as seen, and no more duplicate people
- Joining through a group link or code now asks "Is one of these you?" when the group already has spots waiting, so signing in with a different email no longer adds you twice.
- New in Settings: Invited with a different email? Confirm the address an invite went to and the spot becomes yours. Handy if you signed in with Apple and chose Hide My Email.
- Group admins can merge a duplicate person into the right spot from the People screen. Expenses, balances and comments move across.
- Tap the thumbs-up on an expense to show you have seen it. Only the people on the expense can, you cannot mark one you entered yourself, and tapping again takes it back.
- Everyone can see who has acknowledged an expense: a count next to the thumbs-up on the group page, and a small thumbs-up beside each name on the expense itself.
- Expenses now show Added by when the person who entered one is not the person who paid, so it is always clear who put it in.
- Marking an expense as seen sends no notifications and changes no balances.
The shekel, and alerts that reach whoever paid
- The Israeli shekel is now one of the currencies you can pick for a group or for a single expense.
- Record an expense a friend paid for and they hear about it too. Expense alerts used to skip the payer, so in a group of two nobody was told anything.
- The person who added an expense is now named in the alert, with a "Paid by" line when someone else put the money down.
- Names written in Hebrew, Thai, Greek or any other non-Latin alphabet no longer stop a group from being created.
- In the app, the keyboard no longer sits on top of the fields when you add someone to a group.
Couples can share one spot
- New Premium feature: two people can share a single spot in a group. The group lists you once and you split as one, with one balance and one share of every expense, but you each sign in with your own account.
- Invite your partner from the group page: tap Invite Your Partner under your balance and share the QR code or link. Group admins can also invite by email from the People screen.
- You each keep your own notification settings for the group, so one of you can turn expense alerts off without silencing the other.
- A shared spot survives one of you leaving: unlink either account and the other keeps the spot, its expenses, and its balance.
Premium for one group, help center, billing, and passkeys
- New "Premium for this group" option — a one-time payment unlocks all premium features for a single group, forever. No subscription required. Look for it on a new group's page if you don't already have premium.
- New Help Center with a searchable FAQ, a Telegram guide, and this updates feed.
- New Billing page showing your current plan, payment method, and invoice history — find it in the user menu.
- Sign in with a passkey (Touch ID, Face ID, Windows Hello, hardware keys). Enroll in Profile → Passkeys for faster, safer logins than email codes.
- The Premium page now shows the price you're actually paying.
Faster AI receipt scans
- Receipt scans are noticeably faster now, with better accuracy on tricky receipts.
Lock in your price
- Premium subscribers lock in their price forever — if we raise prices for new subscribers, your monthly rate never goes up.
- Your feature limits (like AI scan count) are also locked in at the time you subscribed.
- Both USD and CAD pricing options are now shown on the Premium page.
Telegram bot: better expense splitting
- New "One person owes the full amount" split option when adding expenses via the bot — handy when you covered something for just one friend.
Receipt photos and improved AI scanning
- Premium feature: upload photos of receipts alongside each expense for easy reference later.
- AI receipt scanning now extracts line items, quantities, and unit prices with higher accuracy.
Group passcodes
- New Premium feature: set a passcode on a group so anyone with the link has to enter it before they can view expenses.
- Useful for sensitive amounts or trips you don't want anyone snooping on.
Multi-currency support
- Create groups in multi-currency mode — enter expenses in any currency they were actually charged in, and we convert at current exchange rates.
- Settlement and balance pages show everything in your chosen settlement currency.
